Dear Festividder....
Hi, vidding benefactor! Thanks so much for vidding for me this festivids season--I'm excited to see anything from any of these fandoms and am looking forward to seeing what you make! I have pretty eclectic music tastes, and I can't think of anything I'd rule out off the top of my head, so whatever strikes your fancy with a particular fandom, go for it!
Here are some favorite parts about specific fandoms:
I enjoyed the heck out of this weird show as a kid. I rewatched it last summer, and some of the things I thought I would enjoy seeing in a vid include: all the friends Jarod makes helping people, and how he goes from being a lonely little boy to using his gift to make a lot of friends (in an admittedly ethically dubious way...); comedy of Broots, Sydney, and Parker utterly failing to catch Jarod every time; a character study of my favorite minor character, Angelo; something angsty about Sydney and Jarod's messed-up father-son relationship; Miss Parker and how frustrated and done she is with just about everything; something weird and creepy about all the child-experimentation the Centre does.
Competence porn! I want our heroines just being awesome at getting revenge and getting money! I also love "team coming together" moments, so that would be neat.
There are actually a lot of great minor (or minor-ish) characters in this show I'd love to see get video attention: my favorite is probably Radar, but it would also be cool to see something about Klinger, Nurse Kellye, Sidney, Igor...heck, I loved that episode where Igor, Radar, Klinger, and Zale are competing for Soldier of the Month, I'd enjoy something focused on the enlisted guys as a group.
I was shipping Bernard and Bianca before I knew what it meant to "ship" something. Please, give me some grand mouse romance.
Perhaps something centered around the theme of making yourself into someone else, particularly given the constraints of a world that's constantly taking bits of you to make sure you fit in the right box? Something from Anton's perspective, gradually realizing that "Jerome Morrow" is actually the brother you thought died ages ago?
Ideas I would enjoy: Marta is done putting up with crap; the awkwardness of thinking you've killed someone and trying to hide it from the world's weirdest detective; Benoit Blanc's strange mental processes while investigating crime; Marta's ethical dilemmas as she tries to do the right thing and also not go down for murder.
