Hi, Yuletide writer! Man, it has been…way too long since I’ve done Yuletide, or much of anything fannish, and I’m really psyched to dive back in to the swing of things! Thank you so much for writing me a story this Yuletide season. If you have a story idea that doesn’t fit into one of the prompts I come up with here, that’s A-OK with me. But here’s some general prompts, likes, dislikes, etc., and I hope at least some of it is useful. (Perhaps you, like me, will be trying to take advantage of the AO3 outage to get some writing done!)

Things I generally enjoy:

• AUs and fusions
• genre mixing
• happy endings
• poly ships
• moments of discovery or revelation
• gen and casefic
• important conversations between characters
• first meetings and/or characters getting to know each other.
• cliche rom-com tropes--some faves include second chance romance, renovation romance, and marriage of convenience
• literally any amount of sex--none whatsoever, non-stop smut, I like it all
• having my heartstrings pulled, as long as there's a happy ending


Things I do not enjoy:
• dark or angsty endings
• character bashing
• infidelity
• gore--I actually really enjoy action, I just don't enjoy graphic gore or lingering focus on damage to the human body. It’s a somewhat unusual line to draw, I recognize, and yet, there it is.
• non-con
• incest
• relationships where the parties don't seem to like each other

Hi, author! Thanks so much for writing for me this year—I’m glad to have matched on any of these fandoms with someone. I hope this letter can give you some helpful ideas, but I’m not married to any particular prompt, so if you have another idea you’d enjoy more, go for it!

Things I generally enjoy include AUs and fusions of all kinds, happy endings, found families, moments of discovery or revelation, important conversations between characters, and first meetings. I love exploring relationships where both parties really like each other, and where both parties have interesting lives of their own. Fandom clichés are fine by me, as is literally any amount of sex in a story, from no sex or romance whatsoever to the super explicit.

My dislikes include dark or angsty endings, character bashing, betrayal, graphic violence, non-con, incest, and infidelity. I’m okay with complicated relationships, but I don’t like stories where the main pairing doesn’t seem to like each other, or where one character is the ‘good’ one and one character the ‘bad’ one—it’s just not a dynamic that appeals to me.

Hi! Sorry for the tardiness of the letter, but in a fairly in-character move for me, I put off signing up until the last possible moment. Procrastination is my besetting sin. At any rate, thank you so much for writing something for me. My letter from last year is here, in case more information on general likes and dislikes could be helpful. In general, things I like include AUs, angst that resolves happily, witty dialogue, and loving relationships of all sorts. Things I dislike include character-bashing and dark/angsty endings.

Pairings: Charles/Erik, a bit, but mostly gen
Length: About 40,700 words.
Rating/Warnings: PG-13, for language and references to off-screen violence. It also contains references to sexism, racism, ableism, and homophobia, as well as a few slurs.
Summary: In which Charles finds himself haunted by a dead future version of himself, together they experiment with changing the course of history, and there is much hand-holding.
