I really enjoyed this vid! Especially:

- the repeated chorus of "I've learned how to paint my face / How to earn my keep / How to clean my kill" and the images you picked for each use.

- And setting the "You've learned how to hold your own / how to stack your stones / but the history's thick" to match up with Charles and Hank

- "I could hear all the voices in your head" + the shots of Charles in Cerebro + Raven's reaction shots = perfect

- "Some nights I still can't sleep / The past rolls back, I can see us still" really got me, especially the young!Charles and young!Raven

Wow, thanks for such a lovely comment! I have to admit, the bit about "I could hear all the voices in your head" was one of the first images that came to me when I listened to this song after seeing the movie, so it's so gratifying to hear that you liked that part. And I think putting the choruses together was my favorite part of making this. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and comment, and I'm so glad you liked it.

This is such a thoughtful vid that fits Mystique perfectly. I've really been enjoying the recent spate of vids that look at X-Men: First Class in the context of the other films, and the way this vid explores Mystique's history is great. The song choice is magnificent, especially the chorus. I think my favorite moment, however, is the comparison between Hank about to "cure" himself and his interaction with Leech. "The history's still thick", indeed.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Watching XM:FC really did make me look at the original trilogy in a new light, and listening to Dessa's A Badly Broken Code right after seeing it, this song suddenly became a "Mystique" song for me. XM:FC also suddenly made Hank from X3 a lot more interesting to me, so it's really lovely to get feedback on his part of the vid. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!

Wow, this is absolutely stunning. You added such depth to Mystique's character that's missing from the movies. The matching of lyrics to imagery is amazing.
