I've got to say, I have way better luck with this enhanced content than I deserve--every year, I send in some crappy, half-formed rough draft that doesn't really say what I want it to say, and every year, I get absolutely fantastic fanmixes and, the last couple of years, art, that make me look at the story and my characters in a whole different way.

Well, this year was no exception!

I knew from the second I downloaded the zip file and looked at the track listing that I was going to love it, based solely on the few songs I knew and the titles of the rest of them. And I did, I totally did. Everything I wanted to get across in this story--Kitty coming into her own, all the fantastic people she meets along the way, the weirdness when things you thought were fairy tales become your life--you can find it all in this mix, and a lot more. I'm so phenomenally grateful to modillian and I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a listen by downloading it here and giving modillian a round of applause.

I hope you see this modillian: I've had this mix on repeat all day while I listen to the fic and bop around my house. I'm definitely putting it intact on my iPod, because I've never heard a single one of the songs but it is probably the best fic mix I have ever heard. I especially loved all the female vocalists, and the songs that added an ethereal feel for the fantasy sections of the fic.
